One potential way to address the increasing energy needs of Electric vehicles (EVs) is to combine a storage component at a charging station with a Renewable Energy Source (RES). Therefore, this research introduces a Hybrid RES and control topology for charging the EV s. The low voltage of Photovoltaic (PV) system is solved by using Z-source quadratic improved SEPIC converter. An Artificial Neural Network-Maximum Power Point Tracking (ANN-MPPT) controller is employed to extract highest power from PV system and Puffer Fish Optimization Algorithm (POA) is exploited to find optimal parameters of developed controller. Additionally, Fuel Cell (FC) is utilized and its performance is enhanced by Boost converter with Proportional Integral (PI) controller. Also, the Battery with bidirectional battery converter is utilized to charge EV s on the peak time. The developed research is validated in MATLAB/Simulink, reveals the maximum conversion efficacy of 94% with highest voltage gain, assures the compensation of reactive power and improved switching losses.
