Abstract
Traditional teaching methods, such as textbook-based learning and passive lectures, often fall
short in encouraging students to critically engage with climate education. There is a growing
need for more interactive and immersive approaches that connect knowledge with real-world
action. Modern educational tools like hands-on simulations and real-life case studies enhance
understanding and retention, motivating students to take meaningful steps toward
sustainability. Media plays a significant role in climate education by shaping public opinion
and spreading awareness through platforms like television, radio, video, print, and digital
formats. These channels serve as powerful tools, especially in rural education settings.
Educators and campaigners are now embracing innovative media strategies to broaden climate
awareness. Additionally, Augmented Reality (AR) has emerged as an impactful educational
tool. It boosts student engagement, enables immersive climate simulations, and supports
awareness about green career paths. While AR positively shapes students’ environmental
attitudes and behaviors, ongoing research is essential to realize its full potential in climate
education.
