Abstract
In the contemporary business environment, corporate culture has emerged as a crucial determinant of organizational sustainability, ethical governance, and long-term success. In India, rapid economic liberalization, globalization, and increasing regulatory expectations have intensified the need for corporations to adopt value-driven cultures grounded in compliance and organizational commitment. This study examines the role of policy frameworks and management practices in shaping ethical and value-oriented corporate culture within Indian organizations. It explores how corporate policies relating to governance, labour welfare, diversity, accountability, transparency, and corporate social responsibility influence employee behaviour and institutional integrity.
The paper further analyzes the relationship between compliance mechanisms and employee commitment, emphasizing that effective policy implementation extends beyond legal adherence and contributes to trust, motivation, and organizational cohesion. It also evaluates the role of leadership and managerial strategies in embedding ethical values into workplace culture through communication, training, participation, and performance management systems. Special attention is given to the Indian corporate context, including the impact of statutory regulations such as the Companies Act, 2013, labour legislations, and ESG-oriented governance standards.
The study adopts a doctrinal and analytical approach by examining legal frameworks, corporate governance principles, and contemporary management practices. It argues that sustainable corporate success in India depends not merely on regulatory compliance but on integrating ethical commitment and value-based leadership into organizational culture. The research concludes that strong policy frameworks combined with proactive management can foster responsible corporate behaviour, enhance employee engagement, and strengthen public trust in corporate institutions.
