Abstract

This study looks at the rules for worker health and safety under the Factories Act, 1948. The Act focuses on making sure factories
are safe and healthy places to work. It includes guidelines for cleanliness, proper ventilation, handling dangerous materials,
machine safety, and working hours. Employers are required to follow these rules, provide training, and regularly check for risks.
While the Act covers many important areas, there are problems with enforcing the rules and updating them to match modern
industry needs. This highlights the need for better enforcement and protection for workers.
