Abstract

Twenty first century hindi fiction is a living document of changing face of the society. The stories and novels of this era deeply depict the complexities, conflicts and shifting values of modern life. Globalization, consumerism. urbanization and political change are all driving these shifts, impacting individuals lives and relationships. Authors like Kashinath Singh, Mridul Garg, Rajendra Yadav, Mamata Kalia, Malati Joshi and Alka Sarangi highlighted the contradictions of modern society with realistically presented the changing family shape, women's identity, Dalit life and the conflicts of life spanning from villages to metropolises, environmental crises, politics and communal crises.
