Abstract

The swift adoption of cloud computing has created major security issues that threaten confidentiality and integrity, mainly because systems are exposed to rising cyber threats. This work introduces a cryptographic system using the AES protocol as an encryption method alongside the RSA key negotiation scheme. The Microsoft Azure environment acts as a platform for the simulated model through its execution and testing of different file size datasets. The performance evaluation demonstrates substantial enhancements with 48.2 ms average encryption duration and 99.9% successful key exchange rate and 14.2MB/s data speed, and CPU requirements at 28.9%. High entropy values together with strong resistance to brute-force attacks and factorization attacks, are verified through security validation measures. The implemented system delivers better performance and scalability, together with strong cryptographic capabilities. The proposed work presents an efficient security solution protecting sensitive data in operational cloud environments.
