Abstract

Nanomaterials have transformed the design and performance of
current energy devices by providing superior size-dependent physical
and chemical characteristics. This chapter looks at the benefits of
nanomaterials in energy storage and conversion technologies like
batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, solar cells, and thermoelectric
devices. The focus is on structure-property correlations, increased
charge and ion transport, surface reactivity, and interfacial
engineering. The challenges of large-scale deployment and long-term
stability are also discussed, as well as future opportunities for
sustainable energy applications.
Key words: Nanoparticles, Energy devices, applications, advantages
