Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly contributing to the enhancement of online healthcare services in India, with virtual care serving as a pivotal solution to address accessibility disparities. AI driven telemedicine and diagnostics are improving remote patient monitoring, facilitating prompt and effective healthcare delivery to both urban and rural populations. As we are aware, health care is a basic human right of every person. Today, it is to be noted that using technology in the health care field is inevitable. This article tries to examine the impact of AI on the delivery of healthcare services, particularly in underserved and remote regions. The objective of this article is to analyse how these technologies facilitate remote medical consultations, enhance the speed of disease detection, and improve the formulation of treatment plans, including virtual assistants designed for patient enquiries, mobile applications, etc., aimed at monitoring chronic illnesses. It underscores the benefits, such as reduced costs for care, expedited diagnoses, and improved access for rural communities, while also recognising challenges, including internet connectivity problems, concerns regarding patient privacy, and the necessity for more defined regulations. It tries to highlight the governmental initiatives aimed at advancing digital healthcare. Further, the article concludes by studying future improvements like wearable health monitors and faster online consultations, suggesting ways to make these technologies easier to use and more trustworthy across the country.
