Abstract

This study demonstrates how to build EOQ models with temporary fixed-percentage discounts that can happen before or after reorder points. When a customer requests a specific order quantity, the supplier instantly reduces the price for them. The model is unique in that shortages are taken into account, as opposed to earlier efforts that did not. Numerical examples are used to explain the proposed models and solution strategies.
