Abstract

The growing demand for home-based healthcare services has led to an increased need for efficient caregiving
solutions. Families and healthcare providers often face the challenge of choosing between freelance caregivers and
full-time caregivers. This study focuses on analyzing the cost and benefits associated with both models to determine
their suitability under different conditions. Freelance caregivers are typically hired on a temporary basis, offering
flexibility and lower immediate costs. In contrast, full-time caregivers provide continuous care, ensuring consistency
and reliability but at a higher cost. This research evaluates both financial and non-financial factors, including wages,
training costs, service quality, patient satisfaction, and reliability. Data is collected through surveys, interviews, and
secondary sources such as healthcare reports. The analysis shows that freelance caregivers are more suitable for short -
term or emergency care due to their flexibility and lower expenses. However, full-time caregivers are more effective
for long-term care as they provide stability, better patient relationships, and improved outcomes. The study concludes
that the choice between freelance and full-time caregivers depends on the specific needs of patients, duration of care,
and financial capacity. The findings help in making informed decisions regarding home care services.
