Abstract
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) models with synthetic biology offers
transformative potential for enhancing plant epigenetic regulation. Plant epigenetics, involving modifications such as DNA methylation, histone modifications, and noncoding
RNAs, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, development, and
stress responses.. This chapter explores how AI can optimize the design, prediction,
and real- time manipulation of plant epigenetic mechanisms, accelerating advancements
in crop improvement. Furthermore, synthetic biology techniques, such as
gene editing and the creation of synthetic gene circuits, can be precisely targeted
using AI models to improve plant resilience and productivity. The integration of AI
with synthetic biology in plant epigenetic regulation holds significant promise for
addressing global agricultural challenges, enhancing food security, and fostering
sustainable farming practices.
