Abstract
Identity Sentinel: Advanced Fake ID Prevention and Doppelganger Detection for Social
Media offers a robust and multi-faceted solution to the escalating challenges of identity fraud, duplicate
accounts, and profile impersonation on social media platforms. This system integrates cutting-edge image
similarity detection, comprehensive database verification, and secure authentication protocols to ensure
genuine user registrations. By proactively identifying and blocking fake identities, detecting subtle
variations in user details intended for duplicate accounts, and flagging similar profile pictures used for
impersonation, Identity Sentinel significantly enhances platform integrity and user trust. Its real-time
verification capabilities and scalable architecture provide an efficient means to combat fraudulent
activities, fostering a safer and more authentic online environment for all users. The proliferation of social
media has unfortunately been accompanied by a surge in malicious activities, including the creation of
fake accounts, identity theft, and the proliferation of doppelganger profiles, which undermine platform
integrity and user security. Existing authentication methods often fail to detect minor alterations in user
information used for creating deceptive accounts. To address these critical vulnerabilities, Identity
Sentinel meticulously establishes a secure and rigorously verified user registration process. By leveraging
advanced image analysis, thorough database validation, and fortified authentication, it effectively
prevents fake identities, duplicate accounts, and profile impersonation. This integrated approach
substantially curtails fraudulent activities and cultivates a more trustworthy and authentic user experience,
ultimately aiming to restore confidence in online interactions by ensuring reliable identity verification and
protection against malicious impersonation.
